Why we exist

AlongPaws makes a small number of things for medium and large dogs who, for a while or for good, cannot do the stairs on their own.

That is a narrower job than it sounds. A dog who has just had knee surgery is not allowed to climb for eight to twelve weeks, and he still has to go outside four or five times a day. That is somewhere north of two hundred trips up and down a staircase, carried, by one person, usually at hours nobody wants to be awake. Most people improvise: a bath towel, a bedsheet, both arms and a bad back.

Our carrier exists for those trips. Not for rehabilitation walking, which is a different tool and a different job. For the part where he should not be putting weight down at all and somebody has to move eighty pounds up a flight of stairs.

We are new, and we are not going to pretend otherwise

We do not have a review count to show you. We have not been doing this for fifteen years. You will not find a wall of five star ratings here, because we have not earned one yet, and buying them is not something we are willing to do.

What we decided to do instead is make the buying decision reversible. Thirty days from the day it arrives, and you do not have to send the product back to get your money back. If it did not work out between you and your dog, telling us is enough. That is the whole policy, and it is the same on every page of this site.

What we will not tell you

We are not veterinarians and we do not play one. Nothing here treats, cures or prevents anything. We do not claim vet approval we have not been given, and we will not put a disease name next to a photo of your dog to make you anxious enough to buy something.

If your dog is recovering from a procedure, your vet's instructions beat anything on this website. When we describe what this product does, we are describing where the weight goes and where his legs sit. That part we can be exact about.
