Front and rear paws are often different. Measure the larger one. Between two sizes, take the larger. Measuring by hand varies by 1 to 3 mm.
We do not list breeds. Two dogs of the same breed often take different sizes, and guessing by breed is the most common way to get it wrong.

Write to hello@alongpaws.com and tell us what happened. Thirty days from the day it arrives, we refund you, and there is nothing to send back. If you would rather get it right the first time, send us the width of the big central pad and we will tell you which size to order.
How often will I be replacing them?
About every three weeks for a dog who walks every day, and less often for one who spends most of the day resting. Do not go by the calendar. Run your thumb across the tread, and when it feels smooth, that set is finished.
If there are two dogs in the house, or you would rather have the next set in the drawer, change the quantity before you add to cart.
Why do you not list breeds?
Because breed does not decide it. Two dogs of the same breed often take different sizes, and picking by breed is the most common way to end up with the wrong one. Measuring the big central pad takes a minute, and between two sizes you take the larger one.
Do these replace keeping his nails short?
No. The two work on the same problem from opposite ends. Long nails touch down before the pad does and lift it just enough that the pad never gets a grip. Short nails let the pad reach the floor. The grip is what holds once it gets there.
